Re: Lileya's cross-stitch projects
Looks great! I love the colours, very nice!
Oh and I meant to ask before, are you stitching the backgrounds like a crazy person or using coloured fabric? Also I changed my mind about my fabric for Rika so I've ordered a different one, will be joining you in starting as soon as that arrives! So excited!
Woooooo! Best of luck - can't wait to see the startLileya wrote:PSIV, here I come!

Have you picked your colors for most of the pattern? Cause I would really love your help/opinion. I can't seem to figure out a color for the darkest blue of Rune's hair. For the lighter blue/turquoise and the medium blue of the hair, I thought I would go with what KG chart gave me (which doesn't happen often...) that is 3846 and 3843. But for the darker one, I have no freaking clue... What are you doing for those 3 colors if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Lileya's cross-stitch projects
Updated the first page with my Phantasy Star III jan/feb challenge project.
I'm also working on an Avatar biscornu for a friend's birthday. This was supposed to be done by the end of March and only have 1 side, but then I had a really cool idea for the second side and I knew I couldn't finish on time. So I guess my friend will get her birthday present in july or something! XD Oh well, it's the thought that counts I guess! XD
For the first side, I used the patterns created by Littlemojo (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2292&p=64450#p64450), slightly modified them then made it into a biscornu pattern. I will post the patterns for both sides once it's completed if anybody is interested. This is my progress so far :
It's going pretty slowly as I'm mostly working on this during my lunch breaks and I've been so busy at work lately that I can't always afford a lunch break! X_x

Re: Lileya's cross-stitch projects
I finished all the symbols. All I need to do is to complete the borders and I will be done with the first side of the biscornu!

Re: Lileya's cross-stitch projects
I've never made a biscornu before and I'm really nervous to mess up the biscornu I'm making for a friend. So many hours put into this to end up with a mishaped biscornu (pleonasm? >_>). So I made a "practice" biscornu, which I did mess up a little bit, so it was very good practice, lol!
It's some kind of faux black-work LoZ A link to the Past inspired design. In other words : what I came up with playing around with KG chart on my lunch break.
I think I might try making more designs, like something with Super Mario with mushrooms, shells and blocks. It could be interesting.

Oh em freakin' gee, that's the outer space of blackwork biscornu. I am in love. Heart containers and rupees which define the area of triforces. A subtle darkening to highlight the big keys. The subtlest of borders to contain each side.
Mostly hibernating here. Find me on Twitter @rmdcade.

I didn't know my biscornu could inspire such a poetic description, I'm flattered!RMDC wrote:Oh em freakin' gee, that's the outer space of blackwork biscornu. I am in love.
