Good day, folks! Thought I'd pull up a thread (pun intended) and show the few things I've made so far with this hobby. I labeled my thread stitching projects because I have plans to try my hand at crocheting and maybe even latch hook in the future. Yes I know, a dude that stitches?! Oh well, I find it relaxing and I love a lot of different crafts.
First, the classic Mario mushroom on 10 count plastic canvas:
White Mage, Final Fantasy:
Jugem's Cloud, Super Mario Bros 3
E-Tank, Megaman
Pokéball.... from Pokémon
The Big Key, LoZ: A Link to the Past
Yoshi egg, Super Mario World
POW Block, Super Mario Bros 2
Alex Kidd, Alex Kidd in Wonderland
And finally, the Crimson Omen from the Gears of War franchise on 14 count plastic canvas

Those are all fantastic and things I would put on my keys. The Crimson Omen is awesome.

Hey all, been a few days. Thanks for the compliments, I have a lot of fun making these. I'm gonna try something new with them in the future. Right now I glue felt on the back to cover the stitches but I'm thinking the glue can't be good for the colors in the thread so I was going to somehow stitch something on the back to cover the stitches.
So here's my next project, a friend at work is currently on maternity leave. She's having a baby girl so here are some progress photos of what I'm working on:
Baby Peach from Yoshi's Island DS.

It's stitched into a 14 count Aida baby bib. At the bottom if I have room I wanna add the word Princess but I have no idea how to make letters from scratch.

You can stitch the felt on the back, using a running stitch around the edges of your stitching. That's what I do

Just a straight line of stitches like - - - - - then you come back the other way and fill in the ones you missed so it ends up like ---------. But you go around the edges of your crosses. Does that make sense? I can try and do a photo-based demonstration if you want!

It's been a while! I have a finished project to show plus my attempt at a running stitch and eventual failure for the most part. Here's some pictures.
Here's my finished cross stitch of baby Peach on a bib:
Someone wanted to see what the back of one of my keychains looked like that I glued to felt:
Here's Terra Branford from Final Fantasy VI, and my attempt at attaching fleece with a running stitch. I've never made something like this yet so I think I missed a few as I was going around so I kinda stopped where I was and called the project an experiment:
