Well last night I had a crazy idea to make a cross stitch cuff bracelet out of some scrap cloth I had left from cutting the charity quilt square pieces down to the 15x15 size and patterened it out and am about to start the stitching. I patterened it out in fall jewel tones and am excited to see how this comes out. I've never dealt with putting buttons and button holes in cross stitch though so if anyone has and ideas on how to do this that'd be awesome! I'll be sure to post pics as the work progresses!
Looks great so far! That's a great idea, I've been trying to think of something more exciting than a bookmark to make with my scraps, too! I think I'd sew the button on like you would do on clothing and just sew a loop of elastic cord on the opposite edge to slide over the button to close it around your wrist, that way you could adjust it if you need to and it wouldn't be as scary as cutting a buttonhole into your stitching.

Thanks for the ideas about the buttons. I have actually come up with an alternative. I am going to use hook and eyes that will be hidden and a flower button on the top just for looks.
