Triforce Necklace...

I'm making this necklace for my niece for her birthday (I have until Monday to complete it). This is the first time I've ever done anything like this, so I'm open to input. I'd like to make this as close to perfect as I can, since it's a gift. It's a double-sided frame, meaning the back will be able to be seen as well. I'd thought about stitching her first name on another piece of canvas on the back, but I'd also considered stitching her name under the Triforce on the front. What, then, would I put on the back?

Also, please ignore the glare. I can't disable flash on my phone.

Dang, hope she liked it whatever you did. I wasn't on over the weekend otherwise I would have suggested at least the wooden sword - I made a smaller version than this for my hubby so that whenever he goes out alone, he has protection from danger (lol). :link
If you need other "minis" I've made a bunch.

Yes, she loved it. She even wore it to school despite my warning not to. Fifteen year old teenagers can be so critical, and I was worried she'd be made fun of for having something like that. I was wrong, and gladly so.

I did manage to make quite a large number of mistakes. First of all, when I was shopping for the small necklace frame thing, I took into account the width and height of the stitch, but not the thickness. The frame would not close all the way, and now I'm worried that the latch holding it closed will snap. Second, I didn't realize when I bought it that it was a double-sided frame, so I had to create another stitch for the back. I had very limited supplies and colors to choose from, so I went with a simple back-stitch heart. You can't go wrong with a heart, am I right? Third, I think I may have used the wrong kind of string (for the part that actually goes around her neck to make it a necklace). I bought a few yards of thin leather string, and I'm thinking I should have gone with elastic.

I would be interested in trying to make more accessories, but this is the second time I've tried to do something with my stitch after it was finished, only to have it turn out a complete disaster. Coincidentally, this is also my second time trying to do that, period. I hate ruining stitches that I've spent any amount of time on.

By the way, what do you mean when you say you have some more minis?

By "minis" I am talking about teeny tiny patterns that fit in those dang frames. There is actually a smaller version of the one that you used that I have done several with: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5125#p40491
I completely agree that it is a pain to ensure they sit flat in the frames as well - no knots/snags/etc or it just doesn't fit. With the ones above, I have actually gotten a sliver of glass in the thumb from trying to force it to fit back in the metal frame. I have come to much prefer the ones that you used (as seen in the big swap viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5173&st=0&sk=t&sd=a ... 620#p49017) since I can just smoosh it mostly closed, then wrap some thin wire around it to strengthen the clasp. As for what to string it on - that depends on how fancy you want to get. I started doing mine on velvet ribbon for the girlie ones (they make "ribbon ends" to prevent fraying in the jewelry section of craft stores) and already existing large chain for the manly ones. Neutrals I string on waxed cotton (real easy to tie slipknots and super cheap)....sometimes referred to as rattail. Lately, though, for my personal ones, I've found colored (even purple!) ball chains so that I can switch them on and off as I please.

Completely agree - hearts are good. Don't underestimate the power of the geek in today's day and age - the teen support group I volunteer for think I am the coolest because I make things like this. :D

*edit* Just realized I didn't include the most important part - mine are all on 28 count Monaco (guaranteeing uber knotting at all turns).
