I really want to make this but i'm more of a crocheter than a cross stitcher, but i'm going to make an attempt to make this but I have few questions
How much of each of the colors should I buy?
What would be the best thread to use?
What type of fabric?
And Could I buy all this at Walmart or Michaels?
I'd prefer walmart since its cheaper but i'll go to michaels if I have to
I bet these questions sound pretty lame but like I said i'm a crocheter =p

Welcome, demonsdollie!
I just reprinted the PDF of the pattern file for you in color and with stitch counts. Basically it will use 1 skein or less of every color, but I would probably get two of 973 (yellow) just to be safe.
For fabric, you'll probably want to start with 14 count Aida. You can do a higher count (like 16 or 18) if you want the finished product to be smaller. As is, this one would be about 7" x 7" on 14 count.
DMC thread is standard; that's the color codes listed on the chart. You should be able to find all of these at Wal-Mart; I'm not sure about their fabric selection, you may need to buy that from Michaels. Aida generally comes pre-cut in little packages or tubes; I can't find it on a bolt anywhere but online.
You can use a hoop or not with aida, I like to because it keeps it taught, but the fabric actually holds up ok without it. Up to you. Good luck!
