You think 22 Aida is tiny, try the 28 I've been working on! I work with one of these around my neck too: http://www.michaels.com/Hand-Free-Magni ... s&start=18

And it's STILL so hard to see what I'm doing sometimes!

I'm soooo going to try that pinhead stitch on my next 14 or 18 aida project though. How does it stand up to being washed?

I think after working with 22 ct for so long now, that maybe I'll be trying to get an even smaller thread count in the future. I have a pattern thats 500 by 500 stitches and may want to try the smallest count I can handle so that its not huge. As for the fraying, I always buy the cute new duct tapes that come in lots of fun and crazy patterns and I tape all my sides of my project. I stopped using embroidery hoops a while ago, I just hate all the circle indents that I have to iron out later and find that they make my hands cramp. I would love to get a professional stand and lamps someday...hmmm... my birthday is coming up, maybe I should ask ; )

And thank you for the Pin stitch tutorial, I'm going to try that when I stitch later today : )

I'd like to thank each and every one of you for your color suggestions. I ended up using DMC 666, and I think it turned out pretty good! :good: I'll show you a quick before and after, so that you don't have to go hunting through previous posts to see the difference. The pic on the bottom is as of Sunday night. Sorry for the washed out colors--I'm a little too lazy to photoshop, and the weather out here has been pitiful! I hope to have this whole project finished in about another month. I'm a little eager to start the Super Mario World map, you see? :help:

Thanks. I did a little more on the tree today, and I'm almost done that part! My son loves this project very much!

I love this pattern...it is in my to do someday list. :) I like the new red. Looking forward to seeing more updates.
I think so, Brain, but can the gummi worms really live in peace with the marshmallow chicks?
I think so, Brain, but if they called them "sad meals" nobody would buy them.

Wasn't much of a stitching weekend, between the epic flea-mergency of 2012, and my son rupturing an ear drum, but I managed to eek out some stitch time... Firstly, a link to the last update image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/ ... 1_3562.jpg

I looked at the tutorials for pinhead stitch, and I tried out the starting stitch (it's great, and yes, very secure!) but I'm a bit confused about the ending stitch. So you have to end it on a blank square, right? Do you then stitch over that with another thread? What do you do when you have just one or two stitches to do in a color and there's already stuff in the adjacent squares?

And oh god, what was your flea-mergency? My house got infested about a year ago and it was a NIGHTMARE. I saw one flea on my kitten last night and immediately broke out the Advantage, lol. I *HATE* those things so much!!!!!
