This kind of thing is written in a Programming Language called BASIC, and you said you have been working on the basic pattern.

:banghead:

I know every piece of that and completely missed the accidental reference there.

So, approaching 3 weeks after I started (including the couple days that I did no work on it), and I have (not including the colors that I missed a couple stitches of that color) 29 colors left over 496 stitches. I'll admit that some could probably be left out but looked odd when I tried.

Unfortunately I had some issues with getting a picture, but here's what I have:

As long as the colors are available, I shouldn't have an issue finishing by tomorrow evening.

Well, I had hoped to wait until I had the last two colors and had completely finished, but so far I haven't had luck finding any in the stores. I plan to check one other place today, just have to wait for them to be open at the least.

So, the (nearly) completed version:

I have posted the pattern in the Patterns forum, so if someone has the colors, time, and speed, they could still manage to beat me to the first completed baby Bender. :P

Meanwhile, I'm getting a grid set up for my next, larger project (picture to come when the grid's set up, to show the size).

So, posting quick since the 'new post' page timed out once already...

It took way too long to find, but Hobby Lobby had the colors I was looking for. I just managed to finish before midnight last night, so it was finished yesterday, bringing the total completion time to just under four weeks - including roughly half a week of not being worked on at the beginning and almost a week to find the last two colors.

The differences are small, but I think you'll probably be able to catch a couple if you look for them.

It's been much longer than I expected, but adding a time limit left much less time to post here. Also my phone's camera refuses to take pictures right now. So, what I've been working on...

First, I started on my large scale project-

and to have an idea of how that compares to the whole thing:

I am at least finished with DMC #310 in that. For those wondering, it is a pattern I found here, but as I'll not be making progress for a while, I'll also wait on saying what it is (but feel free to guess).

While working on that, I had to make a pattern for a request, and here's my start to it:

That is 32-count linen, amd it makes me feel like I have incredible vision when I go back to 14-count aida. :D
Even more interesting, this pattern requires two pieces that I'll have to stitch together once I get enough done to need to.

However, getting thread, I came upon a pre-made pattern that I thought a cousin of mine would like. In order to keep it (somewhat) secret even if my cousin reads this thead specifically, I'm keeping to the back of the project until finished and given:

Of course, when I got that one, I spotted another one that was wedding-themed. Having been trying to think of some stitching I could do for my brother's wedding, this was a perfectly timed find. Once again, I'll stick to the back for now.

Of course, the bottom left of that image is one stitch to close to the center. Luckily, it's only background coloring, so I should be able to work around it fairly easily.

After about three weeks, I'm down to just about 34 French Knots (more or less) on the wedding gift - no pictures yet, but the picture to go up has been taken.
The other three projects haven't been worked on, as I was afraid of running dangerously close to it being late (although fun to talk with my brother while working on the present. :P

I wish I had more to update, but I'm trying to keep this up to date to motivate myself to doing more cross-stitching (and/or faster). Still, it'll be up within 2 weeks (waiting until after the wedding on the incredibly unlikely chance that either one sees it here).

Only 2 weeks before an update this time! And it has pictures!

Obviously, I finished it up after this picture was taken - my brother and sister-in-law's names, the date, and those french knots that I mentioned. I don't think I plan to do any lazy daisies again - but the knots aren't too bad.
I accidentally moved the bottom right background to the left by a stitch, and the lettering only called for one color - I used their wedding colors instead. Other than that, it was out of the kit (except a little of the pale blue that I had to get more of).

Also been getting my thread into a bit more of an organized note, using project cards that I picked up. I'd had the basic idea, using index cards to have 10 colors but the quality and set-up of the project cards make them worth the small price. Anyway, it was a good thing I picked up two packs of them, as it turns out that between the various projects that I've built up, I've gotten up to 108 colors.

They look great, but would you be able to post smaller images or spoiler tags please? My computer kinda flips out with loading the really large ones, and you cant really view them in thread. Sorry to be a bother

I'll go ahead and do so - I wasn't thinking about the fact that the pictures would stay so large. I had meant to do so, so thanks for reminding me to.

I know that some (most?) of the time it still has to load the pictures, so I wasn't sure if the spoilers would help. So I'll go ahead and try to go with smaller + spoiler pictures where possible.
