The humanoid must not escape

Hi guys,

I'm new on the forum. Been lurking on and off for a while though. Took up cross-stitch a few years ago due to this site... but then for some reason I mostly seem to do non-videogame stuff

I've done quite a bit, but mostly small stuff, because I'm very slow! This is small even for me, but I decided to do something *so* small that I could just get it done and posted :-) Hopefully your feedback will motivate me and now I'll enter a new era of productive stitching. That's how it works, right? :-)

I think the Berzerk robots have a lot of character for so few pixels :-)

Fight like a robot!

This is awesome - and you're absolutely correct, for being small and squareish, Berzerk robots are chock full of sassy robot personality!

Thanks!

I'm feeling the motivational power of positive feedback seeping into my lazy bones already! :-)

I don't know this game... but it reminds me the ones I used to play on my Dad's Apple II Image
Very nice stitches, Amphibious, I can't wait to see more of your works...

Glad you like it :-)

Are you thinking of any particular games? I'm always happy to learn of new lo-res robots :-) I'm not familiar with the Apple II, but a quick Google reveals a game called Robot Odyssey that looks interesting. Love that police bot!

There seems to be the same games on Commodore 64, maybe you know best...

Well, I mostly remember :

Mr Robot and his robot factory(my favorite robot game on Apple II)
Lode Runner
Conan
Karateka
Les Goonies
Drol(this one is with a robot)
Lady Tut
Impossible Misson (there are some robots too)
Apple Cider Spider
Dino Eggs
Arcade Boot Camp
Jungle Hunt
Gumball
Boulder Dash
Captain Goodnight
Chivalry
Galaxian
Burger Time
Summer Games (and Winter Games too)

And one I loved but I can't remember its name... first you had a map, and had to choose in which castle (there were one of each colour : blue, green, red, purple) you'd like to go... there were different kinds of monsters you had to fight...

Wow, I wasn't expecting you to list every Apple II game you could remember; but I'm glad you did. This is a rich vein of stitchable lo-res awesomeness that I was previously unaware of!

(I'm not familiar with the C64 really, either. I grew up on Atari 2600, NES, then Amiga.)

Not had chance to watch all of those, but I've already just seen two critters (non-robot as it happens) that are begging to be stitched. (Hmm, still too big for the March challenge though!)

Yeah, I thought of use some Apple II characters for the March Challenge, but I'm afraid they're too big too....... :) maybe just a part of them... ?
