My first Mario! Now finished...

Post by supersuzie »

Hi everyone!

This is my first time posting after lurking around for a while. I can't tell you how happy I was when i found this site.
I love cross stitching but there's only so many cottages and cats a person can take!

I have started my first "cool" cross stitch project and the aim now is to make a few Mario sprites that can be sewn on to a guitar strap for my BF's brother's 15th birthday (teenagers are so hard to buy for!). Have to have it finished by April 4th but i have the type of job that means i can do bits and bobs at work.

Will post updates as I go if anyone is interested,

thanks for looking,

Suzie x

*EDIT
It's now finished and he loves it so I thought I'd put some pictures on of the finished item.
I really enjoyed making this and I've already lined up my next project.

Looks good. Just curious, what is that tool in the top picture?

Edited to add a few more pics.

Amphibious, that tool is just my nailfile,
I took the picture at my desk at work.

Cross stitching and filing my nails, I must be rushed off my feet....

Lol! :rotfl:

I've been cross stitching for a while now, but I still seem to keep learning new things... I just assumed this was some indispensible crafting tool I had yet to come across :-)

I was finding it hard to imagine how it might be used...

How did I miss this when it was posted? Great stuff - now I know what to do for my daughter when we get her guitar fitted with strap pegs. :)

This is great :) Is it hard working on the strap fabric?
