'Satan' Link (not really)

Did a quick trade with LinkIsMyHomeboy for a keychain =)
After much "what do you want for it?" oh you don't have to do anything "yes i do" no you don't "YES I DO" she finally went with the "surprise me" choice. So I decided to go with something Link related (yes yes, real original I know!)

I realized though that with his floppy little hat... if you made it red and put a pom pom on the end it'd be a santa hat! So I went with "Santa Link" (she misread it as "Satan Link" once and it seems to be a running joke now XD)

I started with a pattern I found posted on here (yay pattern wiki!)- viewtopic.php?f=7&t=293
Tweaked the lines and colors a bit and added some backstitching to really make it pop... I'm really happy with how he came out =D I added a ribbon to him so he can be a christmas tree ornament and then stitched some red felt onto the back and voila! Satan Link was complete XD

::edit:: And presenting Mrs. Zelda Claus! (Pretend she got scanned straight -shifty eyes-) It occured to me though that I should have done her crown in green so it looked like a holly bunch!

THis is sooooooo cute... I think I'm going to make one for my geek tree! Yes we have 2 xmas trees....one that is real with nice catalog types themed ornaments of snow and ice....yada yada.....and then our geek tree which is a 6 ft black tree that has all sorts of pop culture and video game ornaments on it!

Oooh, this is so cute! We have a sort of geeky tree with Star Wars/space stuff but no video games! I should remedy this.

'Satan' Link is adorable! The backstitching really adds a nice touch to it. Kinda gives me an idea of making a tree topper of Link holding up a Star or the Triforce

Now THAT would be adorable XD

If you guys are interested I can post the pattern on my lunch... crap no I can't! I didn't write the colors on the computer pattern and my cat barfed on the print out that I wrote the DMC colors on >.< Ok, if I can refigure out the colors I will post the pattern later!

I really love how this pops! The back stitching really makes it in my opinion.

Yes I'm a terrible spriter because I'll finish stitching and then go "IT NEEDS BACKSTITCHING!" but hey, you can't argue with results XD And (not countig the border that's securing the felt on the back) there really isn't that much on this piece =)

And if anyone's curious- I'm planning on digging through my boxes tomorrow to try and relocate which colors I used so I can post the pattern =)
