I've been following the site for months but just registered now for the forums. Thought I would kick things off by posting a pic of my Portal stitchings which I made for my boyfriend for Christmas. I started with the posting of this in the "patterns wanted" section posted a long time ago but had to tweak things a little bit...ended up winging some of it!!
You can do some pretty interesting work with stitched backgrounds. Because of the natural sheen of the embroidery floss it can even look like different colors in the right light, particularly if you stitch in different directions.
If you can find clear plastic it's even better. Not only does it not show through like white can it seems easier to use. Maybe it's more flexible? I have a hard time finding it locally and when I do I stock up.
Do you have a pattern for these pictures that can be downloaded in PC Stitch? These pictures look amazing and I know my boyfriend would love for me to make them! It would make his day! Please let me know.
I made it using KG-Chart, not sure if it will open in anything else. I also didn't clean up the Aperture science or portal words but I think this will work you ya.
