COURAGE, Starchild !!! You did almost 4.000 stitches, that's much to me !! Your pattern is huge, but you have no deadline ; no stress...
One step at once... at your own rythm...
Maybe you should set small intermediate targets, and not look at what you haven't done yet
It's gonna be great anyway !!

You are doing great with 4% done! Every single stitch counts, that is what I have learned. "The journey of a thousand steps (or 87,009 lol) starts with a single step".
Also, if you want some inspiration on massively crazy huge cross stitch projects that people work on, go to the forums at goldenkite.com . Seriously, there is a pattern a woman is working on there, that she figured out if she did 600 stitches per month it would take her 27 YEARS to finish it. Not even kidding, this piece on 18 ct fabric was like 5 feet by 4 feet! There are patterns that people have completed that are hundreds of pages long, and they all say the most important part is to just stick with it. You can totally do it, just keep at it! And post your WIPS here, because we love to see them!
