Sprite Stitch Board!

Firstly, and most importantly, thank you all so much for your words of support. Seems silly, bit it makes a difference =)

Secondly, I'm in a bit of a conundrum. I have 24 pages of roughly 54 by 81 on my plan. I'm maybe halfway through my first page. Now, I've been considering going on to a second page for a bit of something new. Here's my question - is that a bad thing to do? Should I finish one page before moving onto the next? Is there a danger I'll lose track of things, and be unable to find my place? I'm pretty good at following the plan, but my fabric isnt marked into grids or anything (I dont know how to do that).

Thirdly, apologies for no update, but I havent been stitching much, what with getting ready to go home for Christmas.

Finally... has anyone else ever worn their hoop on their head and pretended it was a crown? >.>

I do that all the time, because I get bored and sometimes doing a different bit keeps you going a bit longer
But you can lose track, so be careful if you do try a different bit!

I don't mark mine, but I skip around a good bit- mostly in order to finish colors that spread out over more than one page. I don't usually go fully out until its more or less done, or you can definitely see the outline/edge of the first, so it usually end up looking like cthulian tendrils poking out of square. =)

Thanks for the replies - I reckon I will go on to a second page at least, and see how I go.

Now, as I've felt a little bad about not stitching, I decided to do something else. A little photo, to put things into perspective, for me at least. And, looking at it, I actually found it to be awesome. Despite the colours, and markings, I could SEE Yogg-Saron in all his glory. It's been difficult to see him in the one sheet I've been working on.

And so, I share it with you.

Okay, back from my mums. No thread cutter (Curses!), however, I did mention before that I'd try to get a picture of her violin that kinda got me interested in cross stitch. She also found a LOT of her other stuff. It's not game related, but as I think she's fantastic, I wanted to share them =3

The violin St Paul's Cathederal (I think?) Tower of London Girl with flowers. It's actually pretty big, but I didnt include any scale refferences. And finally, a door-hanging-thingy (I think that's what she said), and flowers in a glass vase which I think came out REALLY well.
Finally, I've been stitching a little more too. I've gone onto the second page, so it's a little wider now. I have no photos yet, but I've gotten a fair bit further than my last update. I'll see if I can get a photo or two up later this week, depending on how much time I have to stitch =3

Gods, I wish Christmas was less stressful. Then again, it wouldnt be Christmas without the family arguments, would it? =3

Anyway, I've somehow had both more and less time to stitch since I've been back, and have progressed somewhat. It's just a little difficult to show you all. Somehow, my camera seems to think that I want photos like this:
No, Camera. Nobody in the history of the world wants something like that. After several more shots, one including balancing the cloth on my leg to get proper light, I managed to use a lamp to get semi-decent lighting. I apologise for the quality of the photo.
As you can see, I've done a fair bit since my last update. I've moved (carefully) onto the second page, which seems nicer to stitch than the first, owing to the lack of hundreds of stitch-changes that will be needed when I finish the first page. If you use a bit of imagination, you can see the curve of Yogg's tentacle, which is the yellow and golden threads, which will then curve back up to join with the dark green at the top of the page.

Hopefully, family stress is over and I'll have a bit of time to socially stitch over the holidays. Fingers crossed!

Your mother's cross stitches are quite lovely especially the flowers in the vase.

Hooooo boy. Long time since an update, and with sorta good reason.

Havent done much more on my Yogg piece, due to holidays, and Uni coursework, and other life stuff, but I'm filling out the first few pages a little. I've actually put this on hold for a bit - my hoop is staining the fabric and I'd rather sort that problem before carrying on.

I've also made a start on another (huge >.<) project, not video-game related. I might put a WIP thread in the appropriate forum, but I'd rather get a bit further on it first.

Wow, it's been a bit of time since I've updated. Had a few issues recently, and a bit of a breakdown, but on the plus side, this has given me a considerable amount of time to stitch!

Anyway, I've put my second project on hold for now due to not having all the colours I need, so I'm back on Yogg. It's going... slower than I'd like. Here's the progress:
It's almost a full page (out of 24) done... sort of. that's the way I'm looking at it, at least. Makes me feel better =3

Anyway, I reckon it's almost 4000 stitches done... out of 87,009. So that's... 4% complete.

Ugh.
