Yogg-Saron WIP

what count material are you using? it kind of looks like you're using something like 28 or 32 and stitching over 1 thread. if you are, i bow to you. i've tried doing that on a project and it just went bad....just bad. the threads on the fabric were just getting way too small to even see all that well. anyway, good luck, and don't get your hopes up. we're all here for you until you either finish it or give up (i'm on the finish it side, of course ).

It is indeed 28 count over one thread.

It's going to take a lot of effort, but it's keeping me going with the thought that it's going to be fantastic when it's done.

Irritatingly, I did quite a bit more last night, so yesterdays update is now outdated. Damnit!

Righty! After a little while longer stitching, here's my progress:

I've pretty much outlined an entire page there, 51x84 on my chart. It's not going too badly, I dont think. Only two wrong stitches so far, which were quickly unstitched after a five-minute panic.

This is so much fun ^_^

Okay, bit of a break due to a pretty... tough few weeks or so since my last update.

Here's what I've managed:

You can kinda see the start of Yogg's tentacle there, just being outlined in the yellow and green. That's my needle in there as a reference.

The back is getting a little untidy, of course. I've got a few knots that have managed to be stitched in, somehow, but fortunately I'll be seeing my mum over Christmas and I think she has a thread cutter I can borrow. She did a wonderful violin cross stitch many years ago, if I see it, I'll get a photo.

I've done about 700 stitches, I think. Only 86,309 to go!

Being a huge fan of World of Warcraft, and just loving the Yogg-Saron fight, I have to say I'm really curious as to how this is going to turn out. Good luck, and keep working hard on it! I can't wait to see more
