Hey guys!

I finally got around to making my 8-bit keys on keychains like I was talking about for literally years (remember my mini-hama ones from forever ago?!). Here's the first, the key from Super Mario Bros 2:

I cross stitched onto 14 ct plastic canvas and sewed it to a fleece backing as I have been doing a lot lately :pac

Let me know if you guys have any ideas for other keys from video games I should make! I have a few in mind (namely the one from Super Mario World), but I'd love to hear other's ideas :peach

This looks great! I like all the keys you made on the sprite stitch blog. They'd all look good stitched.

These would make awesome (and quick) Christmas presents for gamer friends. I may end up making a few, so thanks for posting here!

How did you finish the front of the stitching with white thread?

Oh, it's actually just the white plastic canvas! I just cut it so that it's a straight edge instead of having the holes show. And I backstitched the fleece onto the back of it to give it a more squared off look and to cover up the back of the cross stitching :pac

And I'm glad you guys like it and gave me some ideas! I'll mess around with some stuff the next few days and post a new one asap :peach
