A bookmark is just its own sort of checkpoint.
This was a gift for Keith Apicary. I was lucky enough to get a chance to give it to him while he on tour this summer. :)

What a cute idea! I love the whole cross stitching a bookmark, might have to try it sometime.

I rather adore this bookmark, it's so cute. Do you have the pattern available anywhere? I kind of want to make my own... (with a ton of other projects in the way!

)

Thanks everybody! The idea came to me from watching Keith's Talking Classics Sonic VS Mario episode (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZ0NkO8gsBo) and wondering if he needed a bookmark for his dictionary.

I think so! It was a little hectic, but he said it was awesome, wanted to know how I made it, tucked it into his pocket for safe keeping, and gave me a hug.

I do now! Here:
The colors I used are not what either of my programs recommended, and I'd actually like to further refine my choices in the future. I suggest manually picking out what looks best to you by choosing the following: 2 reds (medium and dark), 3 golds (light, medium, and dark), and five greys (ranging from very light to very dark). And you'll need black, of course.
I actually used white for my "light grey" after doing a beta test. It really brightened things up, and felt truer to the original sprite.

That looks like PCStitch. Do you have the .pat file for it? And the numbers of the colours you used?
