Phone Straps ♥

I've been working on various phone straps lately and here are a couple of them :)

Mr. Saturn from EarthBound.

The back sewn with fleece.

Potion bottle from Super Mario Bros 2.

The back sewn with fleece again xD

I used DMC thread and 14 ct plastic canvas for the cross stitched parts. I then sewed red fleece to the back to act as a screen cleaner :)

I'll be making more of these in the near future since I really like how they turned out!

Those came out super cute!
Thanks for posting pics of the backs!
I noticed other plastic canvas projects and was wondering what to do with the backs of them (the backsides of my projects are a TOTAL MESS!!
Would never want anyone to see them!

Same for me!How did you stitch those on there? Are they one row in, or are the sides sewn down as well?

I think Bamiyan (and don't take my word on it until they reply) did back stitching through the plastic and fleece! It may be a little difficult but I'm sure a little work and it works wonders! I may do this for my own cross-stitch plastic stuff.

Awesome idea with fleece!

That's exactly what I did! Basically after the cross stitching part is done on the plastic canvas, I'll cut the fleece, back stitch it through the outside row of the cross stitching, then once that's done, cut the fleece down to be more "8-bit" looking. It takes some time, but I like the result :nod

I just finished one of Splash Woman from Mega Man (I like mermaids waaaaay too much haha) that I'm going to make into a keychain/zipper pull, and will be posting that one asap, as well as working on some smaller ones today like Mario items, and a Metroid xD

I LOVE how it comes out - I'm thinking I might try it with felt, fleece and I do not get along... (this is my fault, not fleece's) Thanks for the idea and tips!

Oh man, that sounds so nice! I think I'll be doing that for my bookmarks and everything once I finish them. Very nice and clean! Thank you so much for clarifying (and I can't believe I got it, haha!)! :D
