I've tried to make similer items but when I went to use them the plastic ripped. How do you attach your key chains to the canves?

Hmmm...I've never had that problem. Did you try looping it through one of the holes in the canvas? I usually have to work it in a bit, but I haven't had any problems with it tearing through it. Usually the hole is big enough even with the thread through it, that there's enough give for it to be fine. Also I'm using 14 ct plastic canvas, in case you were using a smaller size?

Edit: durr, I never really answered your question though... :pac

I just use a metal ring and loop it through a hole in the plastic canvas, then attatch that metal loop to whatever (either phone strap loop, ball chain, etc) depending on what I'm making.

I've been using a phone strap that I made for a good month or so now that I'm pretty rough on, and I haven't had any problems with it ripping, and that's even a piece I was more nervous with because I accidentally cut the plastic a bit short and close to the hole the ring went though. And if you've seen my Wood Man/Splash Woman keychains, I've been using those on my lanyard with all my keys for a couple of months (which I'm even harder on) and nothing to note from that...
