watch straps ! wip

i am trying to makes some watch straps for my watch im trying to do mario themed ones and i just cant get the idea right any help with ideas would be really appreciated

I'd probably make your design slightly less wide, so it'll sit properly on top if you continue as you are.

I assume you're currently looking at covering straps that already exist? I think you might be better off creating your own straps. Take the design, stitch it, add some interfacing, then sew it with a heavier fabric to the back and stitch it to the watch sides. You can buy watch/belt buckle things that would work for attaching the straps together in most good craft stores.
