So... I decided that I needed a small break from my stitching of all black onto 22 count Aida.... so I made this in all black on 28 count Aida But I have to say I'm awfully pleased at how this came out, picked up the charms on a whim recently - may have to go get some more for Christmas presents.....

Thanks for all the kind words guys! This was my first "non-traditional" sort of finishing and I definitely want to do more!

Surprisingly enough at Michaels - I have found so many cool ways to finish projects just by wandering the store, there are different types of frames and projects in like twenty different spots - this one was actually in the jewelry making section for photo charms.

I've looked at those photo charms so often, but wondered if they had room for stitchings. How well do they fit? I don't mean in terms of fabric count, but getting them closed up again

Surprisingly well actually - this one opens on the top and two little pieces of glass (plastic?) slide out. It was a tight fit getting it back in, but I am absolutely confident that it is NOT going to move or fray I went back today to see what else they had - I founds some that were cute, but they were all slide in just the picture, and I don't think there was any way I was getting a finished stitch in there....
Spoiler
(And I've just realized I really need to paint my nails )

Ahhh thanks for the pics spin, very helpful! I see how the two pieces of glass/plastic would hold a tiny stitching.
I think I shall keep a look out for some of those!
