TRD's Bookmarks

Post by TatteredRagDoll »

I think I may make bookmarks my usual break projects, so I'm just going to create one thread, rather than new threads for each one. I wanted to take a tiny break from my North Palace piece, and decided to make a Mass Effect bookmark for my husband. I took the N7 logo posted here; viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1917 and the font I posted here; viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3952 and created the pattern from there. It didn't turn out perfectly, but it was a bit of a trial run more than anything. I typed in the bookmark dimensions into KG Chart, and didn't realize I would have all that excess space at the end. Well now I know for next time. I also hope to mess around with the logo a bit and re-size it, because there are a number of Mass Effect quotes I would love to do.

Pardon any incoherence, I blame it on the wine. :tease:

This is hilarious! I love the text. That part of the game cracks me up. Good job!

I actually picked up a few pre-fab bookmarks from JoAnn's and Michael's. I wish I could take credit for it, but I'm totally not that awesome.

Thank you. I've never actually played ME myself, but have watched my husband play through them both numerous times. I always give him crap for being such a floozy with his endorsements, so I felt it was a fitting quote. There are definitely others I would love to do, so we'll see what the future holds.

Aah I see, I'm from the UK so I've never been to those stores. The bookmark is very cool anyway!
