WIP - Zelda II North Palace

Post by TatteredRagDoll »

*waves* Hi. I'm more of a lurker, but figured some of you might get a laugh out of my ambition, or laugh at my stupidity caused by my sheer impatience. I love the North Palace from Zelda II: Link's Adventure, and decided to try my hand at making a pattern. Of course I made it WAY too big, and was just so ready to get started on it, I didn't want to fool around with it and make it smaller.

Up until now I had been posting all my WIP on my personal facebook, but finally got around to creating a blog. (http://fromconsoleto.blogspot.com/) Come, laugh at me, and give me words of encouragement to keep me going when my ADD wants to get the best of me. Heh

EDIT: WIP - week five;

You are doing a great job. Hope to see more updates. Would you be willing to share the pattern you did for this.

I uploaded the file for KG Chart, but have no clue how to make it a PDF. This was the first pattern I actually sat down and put together myself, so any tips and tricks from others would be appreciated. Teach me, for I shall listen! ^_^

No problem! Good patterns like this one nearly always end up with people begging for a pdf ;)

This is going to be AWESOME! One of these days I'll get into making patterns and come up with some zelda stuff of my own!

Keep up the great work!

Thanks!

Sadly one of those things I'm stupidly OCD about is my update shots. Since I try to take weekly update shots, I prefer to do them the same day each week. In this case, that would be Thursdays. It's totally silly, and I'll be the first to admit it. :nod However this does mean that tomorrow I'll be due to post my week five update. I finally got all those bricks done at the bottom, and have started the dark purple filler. I've also made considerable progress on the first pillar, added the blue to the stats up top, and started working on the curtains. This pattern does wonders for my ADD, as there is so many different elements I can bounce around between, but not have to worry about messing with the flow of the pattern. If that makes any sense at all, of course.

Though to break things up a bit I put together a pattern for a Mass Effect bookmark, so I hope to at least finish that tonight.
