Triforce of Badassery

I found this pattern on the master list last week and just started on it today. I'm using 14 count Black Aida and shiny metallic gold floss. Oh, and it's going to be HUGE.

So far there's not much to see, but I'll try to post some progress pictures as I get farther along (probably in the next day or so).

It's taken me a while, but I finally have a small amount done, and assuming I don't get into other things, I should have more regular updates after I finish the bookmark I'm working on!

Looking good. But isn't that gold floss driving you crazy? It makes me dance around in frustration.

Oh yea! That's one reason it's taking me so long!

Lol. That stuff really makes me nuts. I try not to use it if I don't have to!

I like shiny, and I'm apparently a glutton for self-punishment, so I totally want to do a project with the shiny floss... I can't wait for more WIP pics.

Well I love the way the gold floss looks, and as long as I take it nice and slow it tends to be fine. When I want to get through it a little faster and stop paying close attention is when it gives me problems though. Nothing like having to re-stitch an entire line because of one messed up stitch I missed at the beginning!

I have had several people recommend a product called "thread heaven" when stitching with metallic thread. Link to their site: http://www.threadheaven.com. I haven't used it yet, because I don't stitch with metallic that often, but will probably try next time I need to.

Got a chance to work on it a little more last night, so here's a pic of where I am now. It's looking good, but it sure is slow!
