First project and a quick question

Post by Tollers »

I haven't cross stitched since I was 10 years old and in Girl Scouts (and that was stamped) so I am not sure what possessed me to give it a try again, but I am doing my best to figure it out.

Heres my current project :

I can't take credit for the pattern or anything, I picked it up as a kit on etsy. The completed project should look like this (although it will probably look alot worse since I am the one doing it :D ):

Now on to my question. I am already planning my next project and I am trying to get an idea as to how big it will turn out. KG Chart gave me a number, but I really think its wrong. Its going to be 240x240 on 18 ct aida. So unless I am not understanding something thats...14 inches by 14 inches (approx) correct? KG chart said it was about 30 inches...that seems a little large.

You are right, its just under 14Inches which is 33CMs, KG Stitch is Japanese, whom are Metric. There is a bug that even when you press inches it changes the label but not the measurement.

Thanks. I was thinking that was the issue, but I wanted to be sure before I ordered the fabric. I appreciate your help

It will not look worse than the picture! What you have right now looks great, and when Girl Scouts learn something, they do it well!
