thanks everyone!!!
i do have a pattern but im adjusting it as i go. i will post it once done but that could take a year!
im using this as project as a rough guide on what shades work together:

im finding it hard to find the time again now that me and my girlfriend are both working and at uni to relax and stitch.
im gonna try to update at least once a month so you can see how the layers are working together.
