Nintendo Onesies!
This is my first attempt at stitching on clothing using waste fabric, and I am thrilled at how it turned out! (although, pulling the waste threads out was way harder than I expected, and probably took twice as long as doing the actual stitching) I've been wanting to try stitching on clothing for a long time, and since we found out we're having a baby in September I thought a onesie would be a good place to start. I plan on doing about a hundred more of these in the next 6 months!

Congrats Krybak! Love the Goomba onesie ^^
The only thing is that babies grow so fast you'll have to make millions in many sizes! I wish I'd made some when I was pregnant, then again my little girl was rather large so they probably wouldn't have fit her!

Congrats on the baby!
These are so cute. I can understand what you mean about the waste canvas. There is another type out there that will dissolve when you wash it. Have you tried looking for it? if not it's just a suggestion.

Congrats on your baby-news! How wonderfull it will be to see your own little bundle in those onesies... *sigh* I'm gonna give this a try as well soon, have some waste canvas to try it out, but these onesies are a perfect match to try!

I use waste canvas a lot and I've never had a problem. Just make sure that you soak it in water for at least ten minutes before you pull the threads and that it stays as moist as possible for the entire length of the operation.
Did you knot the thread on the back? And if so, how do you make sure that it won't be uncomfortable to wear for the baby?
