Ganondorf Twilight Princess Plushie!

Post by donnamevans »

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to share my new project with you all!
My very own Dark Lord Ganondorf plushie from Twilight Princess.

I’ve seen a few people make this version and wanted to have a go at it myself.
This is the most elaborate plush project I’ve ever attempted!
I’d have never imagined he’d turn out so big though! He’s around 25 inches (60cm tall)

I don’t even know what sparked the desire to make one, really, though I’m very glad I did!

Wow, I used so many materials to make this one. (Including 4 small bottles of fabric paint!!) Here’s the lowdown on a few of the things I used and made:

-100% cotton body with poly fibre filling and fleece feet with foam insoles
-Fleece hair, sewn as 6 separate cone shapes, and hot glued to his head
-Brown velvet underclothes (top and trousers)
-Navy blue felt armour, with fabric paint edging
-Pleather belt with rhinestone and fabric paint detailing
-Suede material on front of armour with Gerudo pattern
-Various rhinestones and diamantes for decoration
-Red velvet cloak (detachable via velcro) with fabric paint and gold detailing
-White fleece and felt “execution” sword (detachable via velcro)
-Various Copic marker detailing with some permanent marker in silver on the armour
-Real earrings with Sculpey diamond shaped drops
-Various red ribbon threaded to his armour and crotch area, and threaded to his feet also.
-Foam, felt and beaded head dress with rhinestones and fabric paint

He will be attending events around the UK with me, as my mascot “Ganny” at London Expo in May and possibly other ones too.

I just added his soundbox as well, so when you press his chest, his Ocarina of Time laugh comes out ^___^

Comments welcome! Thanks for looking!

Thank you kareesh and sammich!
He took me about 10 days in total. I've never worked on a plush project this long before. It was fun though!

The amount of detail is just incredible. He's gorgeous!
I especially love his face, the cheekbones and the frown and everything.
I can't imagine the amount of work needed to get all of those shapes just right.

And the soundbox sound like so much fun. XD
I'd be tempted to have him laugh all day long.

Thank you Pandora!
His face was lovely to paint. All I used for the detailing and shading was acrylic paints, but it looked quite effective.

The patterns for the armour were probably the most difficult to make. I was constantly altering the shoulder armour pattern to fit just right, as the main part on his shoulders is all one piece.

Thank goodness for the Brawl trophy! Helped me zoom in and pick out a lot of the detailing on his outfit, cloak and armour.

Thank you nintendophile and TS!
I'm growing quite attached to him! Though he's a bit lonely! Maybe I should make Twilight Princess Link and Zelda to keep him company!
