Help with Mario Kart

Hi guys,
I need some help from some experienced stitchers and don't know which forum to post this in, so i apologise if this is the wrong one.
I started this:
viewforum.php?f=5
Mario Kart pattern a few months ago, and noticed that once i had done the clouds they just weren't the right colour. Looking at some of the codes on the pattern it seems the colours for the entire picture may be way off. For example toads hat is a grey color instead of white and i'm not sure if i should bother continuing or not.
I have attached a picture of the cloud in the top left corner, for an indication of how off the colours are.
Is my only option to edit the pattern manually? That will be difficult as it is quite large and i am not familiar with how the different colours translate from screen to thread. Looking at the pattern, how off will it look all together?
Any advice would be appreciated.

I find with patterns made in KGchart the colours can be quite off sometimes (i.e. the samples in the program might look ok, but are very different from the actual thread). I usually print out the pattern with colour blocks, then take it to the shop and find the closest matching colours, then I edit the pattern manually.
It's really up to you whether you decide to continue with the colours in the pattern or whether you can be bothered find the right colours and start it all gain.
I guess this doesn't really help you, sorry.

Yes it does! I wasn't aware that KG Chart had a bit of a colour problem. Thank you for your tips

NEVER NEVER NEVER trust KGChart! I always compare my picture to the thread color before beginning a project. I usually pull up this page
http://www.thestitchershideaway.com/sto ... colors.jpg when creating patterns. I suggest bookmarking it

I don't think I would trust colors on a computer screen, quite honestly, as every screen is set differently, every colors comes out differently. I haven't run into problems, but I'm always scared that it'll turn out bad.

Thank you for the tip!
I checked out the colours in the link and they seem to be a bit brighter than they are IRL, i held a bookmark i have already completed up to the screen and the colours on screen were much brighter compared to what i have stitched even though they are the same. Is this the same for you or is it my monitor?

It might be the settings on your screen...I have never had an issue with mine. Maybe just the brightness on your screen adjusted a bit would help?
