I apologize for my flash obscuring the colors; next picture I'll take it in natural light.
I officially hate black canvas and my living room, which does not have enough light but has my TV. >.< Also, those boxes will be the death of me.

Yeah, no. I thought about starting over again on black Aida, but after I looked at how much I had gotten done, I said "No way."
Looking good. We're project partners. *internet fist pump*

Hah, you had me pretty confused for a moment there. Thanks!

*fist pump* Yay project partners! Now I have to go search for yours to see how much progress you've made. XD

Progress as of this afternoon:
A few close ups:
I'm so happy to be done with the edge of the piece, because now I can use an embroidery hoop. My hand was really bothering me before, and the hoop makes it a great deal easier. Plus I can attach a book light to the hoop, which means it's much easier to see the fabric. I've found that it's a great way to catch up on the TV shows I've missed, so I've been doing a lot of stitching while watching this season of House, and now the current season of Chuck. Fringe is up next. ^^ So yeah, all in all it's going quite well!

Looking good, predawn! You're making a lot of progress. ^_^
Sadly, most of what I've been doing has been white so it's not worth taking pictures right now. -.-
And it looks way better on black than on white.

Thanks! Yeah, tons of white isn't the best picture material. It looks good on white, too. Have you decided what you're going to do for background?

No...I've thought about doing half stitches, but that seems like it'll take forever. Another thought was doing satin stitches. That might take less time. Not sure yet.

Yeah, plus doing half stitches of just black for the whole thing might get kind of boring and frustrating after a while. At least to me it would. I've never heard of satin stitch; I'll have to look that up. It's looking great so far! ^^
