its looking great!!!!
I hate stitching over black too, it helps if you put a white towel or a white piece of cloth over your knees , the white helps you to see the black aida´s holes better, hope this helps

Black cloth is my bane as well!! I've been working on stitching a harley davidson logo for my father and filling in black on black.
Your sampler is looking AWESOME though! Keep up the good work!

Oh my gosh, that's an amazing idea! I can't believe I never thought of that. I'm going to try that; thanks so much for the tip!

Eek, black on black is the worst. Even worse than white on white, I think. Thank you so much, I appreciate the support!

Long overdue for an update! D:
The Nintendo logo took a few weeks. All that white! Of course it didn't help that I miscounted and had to undo a few rows of stitches. Thankfully that was in the beginning, so it wasn't too huge of an issue. It was annoying though. I'll be glad to start on the green stuff after those boxes are filled in. Huge thanks go to Lady Aracne. Your suggestion about the white cloth has helped me a ton!

Thanks, I appreciate it! And yes, the white cloth works wonders. I'm surprised I never heard about it before, but I'm glad it was pointed out to me here - better a little late than never.

stitching on black sucks... if you can try having a light source under your hoop (makes the holes stand out to aim the needle).

Hmm, I never thought about a light under the hoop, although I'm not quite sure how that would work logistically. Right now I've got a book light that I clip to the hoop. That with the white cloth seems to be helping a lot. But thanks for the suggestion! Have you ever done that, with the light under the hoop? How does that work?

Slowly but surely making progress. Family stuff didn't give me much time for cross stitching lately, so I'm just getting back into the swing of it. ^^

I love that! What pattern are you using? It looks different than the Nintendo Sampler I found in the forum.
