Sprite Stitch Board!

I don't have a picture at the moment because my camera's battery is dead and the charger cord is mysteriously MIA.

My question is, has anyone else tried this out? I'm finding counting to be EXTREMELY difficult due to the similarities of the colours, and I'm curious if anyone had some tips or their own WIP to share

I really don't have anything constructive to say, except WOW that's a gorgeous pattern.

couple of suggestions for you:

-print out or photocopy the chart and highlight the areas you've stitched so you don't lose your place
-colour in the chart with different colours for each symbol so the pattern is easier to read
-grid your fabric (will help with counting)

Now that you mention it, I do this too. I have a project that is essentially nothing but a huge block of green thread, so I printed out a copy and marked off each row as I completed it to keep from going crazy.

Do you open it in kg chart? You could try showing symbols instead of colors and then you won't get them confused.

I do use KGChart; I have both symbols and colours on, it's what works best for me. I don't have a way to photocopy the pattern at home, but I should be able to take it somewhere to get it printed. I'll try that out, thanks guys

When I have a project with a lot of similar colors, or it's just complicated, I actually dissect it. I don't use KG so I don't know if it is possible there, but I copy the pattern to a new page, and then take out all but a few colors. It helps me keep an eye on where things are.

I agree with Faewren. On PC Stitch there is a highlight option, and it helps me out when there are similar shades. If that's not an option on KG, then I would just delete some colors out like suggested.

And please post a WIP soon! I would love to see this awesome pattern completed!

as you can see i am using the symbols I like to out line the ones i am doing, I have also split up the pattern up into section about 50 x 60, i then have grided up my material.
I also cant wait to see a pictures of what you have done before.
