Mario Across The Ages

Post by meldale8 »

Hi all

I recently found this site and am addicted to it :D I love the NES era, I still have mine from when I was a kid, still works, don't play it very often though.

I found a lot of great patterns on here, I decided to start with the Mario Across the Ages. So far I have 7 of the 10 marios (I started it before i noticed the goomba boot one was missing...oh well)...it's been taking me around 2.5 - 3 hours to do each mario....so longggggggg.

Anyways, I hope to finish it by the end of the month, there are sooo many patterns I want to stitch!

I finished all the marios! yay....now working on the floor.

Question: for those who did this pattern, did you fill in the white squares in the floor with white floss? or just leave it blank with the white cloth? I haven't decided which way i'm going to go...I think it would look much better filled in...

I filled it white white floss. I also think it looks better. :)

I love this pattern, I think it's so cute! And I agree with you about the lots of patterns you want to stitch.

That's pretty sweet. If you don't mind my asking...where did you get the pattern? My hubby would love to put something like that in his man-cave. He's a big NES collector.

Yoshigirl...I found the pattern here:

http://www.spritestitch.com/?p=108

However the mario with the goomba boot is missing from that pattern, and Johloh added the pattern for that guy to be added to the above pattern (I started before i noticed so I don't have the room to add him :) )

he is here:

http://www.spritestitch.com/?p=277

Have fun :)

I'm trying to figure out where to put him in the pattern. Before or after the frog?

I have seen him after the frog or before the statue...either one would work.

I'm almost done mine, i have 1.5 black blocks from the floor left, and if i decide to, the white squares :)

Cats are awesome, just not when you are cross stitching.
