I literally stumbled on this site the other day and I find the idea of cross stitching video game sprites absolutely awesome. I also thought what a great idea it would be to take a stab at cross stitching something lovy-dovy for my girlfriend this upcoming valentine's day. So I googled for one of her favorite Pokemon characters, Choroneko, and found the perfect image on deviantART here.

I thought the background might be a little much for me to stitch so I took it out using Photoshop. Also, I pixelated, sharpened, and resized the image. Set Index colour mode to 16 colours.

I downloaded and used KG Chart to import the image, deleted the off-white colours, and bought the rest of the colours at Michael's along with some needles and 15x18 aida cloth (18 ct).
And here is the project I'll be following: Do any of the more seasoned experts have any constructive criticism about this project? I'd love to hear it!
