That is a lot of ocean to stitch. Its coming along really well though and will go much faster now you have more interesting areas to stitch :)

My computer died so pardon the lack of competent picture display. I know the link is good.

Thanks for looking!
Yours is looking great and I love when people come over and share their WIPs of this project. Have fun with the land stitching.

:Mario :Luigi :mush WOW! I came to post my update, and I see one finished! CONGRATULATIONS! I've been working on this pattern on and off for years! It's so great to see one done. What fabric did you use and how long did it take?!
Yours looks great! I don't frequent the forum very much and just saw your question (whoops!). :Luigi I used 18 count aida, and it took 2 years, 7 months, and 6 days, which was semi-easy for me to remember as I started on groundhog's day 2016! LOL

I am resurrecting this million-year-old thread to show you my WIP. I had to take my floor frame down a while ago, so it sat undone. I put it on a lap frame and a q-snap a few weeks ago and started working on it again. I'm just about to finish the second column. I don't know whether I want to start on the top or bottom of the next column. decisions decisions! :D

In two weeks, this WIP turns 6. lol! I just downloaded the Pattern Keeper app and I think it's going to be a game changer for this project. Printing out the colored chart on cardstock was getting pricey. I also love that there's no paper and ink going in the garbage when I'm done with it. No more accidentally dropping highlighters and scaring myself that I marked my fabric, either. lol!

Thanks for looking! :peach

Edit:

I'm not sure that the spoiler cut is working so I'm going to leave the links to the images. Can someone let me know what's working?? Thanks!

I think we all have a couple of WIPs like that - pick them up now and then and stitch like crazy for a month or two. They get done eventually!

Its coming along really well though now :)

It has definitely been an on again off again kind of thing. I haven't picked up any other projects though, which is good. I'm a reformed serial starter, ten years into recovery :p

It already looks very different from the pictures. I finished Yoshi's Island now and have done the iceburgs as well as the border on the left side of the chocolate thingy. Once I fill in the ocean, that page is done. I'm trying to whip through a page every two weeks and hope to be almost half way through by the time September hits.

Of course, if my son doesn't go back to school, I can't go back to school. That might mean even more stitching time. Lol

In six days, this project turns six years old. I had to move the fabric again, so I thought I'd snap a pic.

I've fallen in love with the Pattern Keeper app so I don't know if I will continue to stick to a strict page by page, but I know I'm stitching a lot quicker without a paper pattern. If you haven't tried it and you don't mind spending about 8 bucks after the trial ends, I highly recommend it. There's a learning curve, so be patient!

It looks like the spoiler cut still isn't working so I'll leave a link here. Have an amazing weekend! :link

It's not, and I have no idea why, but I've let johloh know about it. Hopefully sorted soon! You can still post pics without it if you're just putting one or two in the post if that helps!

Also, you're doing GREAT with that project! I've been digging out some old WIPs too, may even post em! :D

KEEP IT UP!!

I had some time and fixed the spoiler myself (turned out some html needed tickling)

Should be all good now but let one of us know if there's some issues :)
