Hello everyone

First of all, I just want to say really quick that I'm so glad for this community as I was never able to find a site dedicated to video game crafts before and always wished there was one. You guys have enspired me so much that I went out and got some materials and am happy to say that this is my first cross stitching project ever and I'm very excited.

The pattern for this project is courtesy of scifibimoncon8 viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2396
They also have instructions for it on their personal website http://rarerborealis.com/wordpressblog/ ... -level-up/

OK, so my boyfriend and I will be celebrating our 5th Anniversary of being together on Jan 2nd 2011. So this project is dedicated to him. I still have some work to do on it but I'd like to post a few pictures of what I've done so far. I'll make sure to keep updating until its completed.

*This is when I first started* (I was so excited to actually be going through with the project that I took pictures of the first few stitches, )

I can only work on it a little bit everyday because I'm currently working an overnight job anywhere from 10-12 hours a night and 50-60 hours a week, but I'm pretty sure I'll finish it in time. :nod

Anyhow, thanks for taking a look for me

That looks really great, especially for your first time! I know I'd be thrilled if my gf made me something with Link (or Mega Man) on it...

I took at least 5 pics within the first round of the first beanie I knitted, it's crazy exciting to see something take shape from just some random colored thread/yarn... :good:

Thanks Octo, I know what you mean and I completely agree. I did the brown first for link when I made him. I started from the head and worked my way down. When I got to stitching his eye I waved "hi" to him because I had created him, lol.

Thanks for responding
