it reminds me of my trogdor cuz it's like a drawing or painting if you're looking at it from far away.

i've had a few guests in my house point out this phenomenon. as they get closer and closer to it- 'oh snap!~ it's a cross stitch!'

Do you pencil in your outline? I see something on the first pattern I can't really identify, but it doesn't look like string.

And yeah, If I can I usually pencil on all my patterns. It makes it easier for me to stitch when and where ever.
I usually do most of mine at work so It's good for me to just look down at the cloth and stitch instead of looking back at a pattern.
