I made these for my brother with embroidery...I bought some blank flour sack towels and used a light box to transfer the design. He loved em!

I don't know how to post the picture in the post so hopefully those links take you to the right place. Let me know what you think!

Very neat! Did you fill in the letters of "Nintendo" with a satin stitch?

These look really nice. I've never done embroidery, but it looks really cool. Handmade gifts are always the best! I bet your brother loved them!

Yes jadely I did indeed use satin stitch to fill in the letters. I still haven't perfected that type however! And my brother loved em!

Those are great! I've always wanted to try embroidery but fear that I would be terrible at it. Cross-stitching forces you to have regular, even stitches and follow a pattern, while embroidery is more free form. Plus, there are so many more stitches to use!
Keep up the good work :-)

Wah! I love the puffy look! It's so stylized! Nintendo has never looked more cuddly. :D
As much as I love pixel-by-pixel cross-stitched accuracy, I also love it when people freshen things up with a new technique like you have here.

Ha ha cuddly! Thank you very much for the compliments guys! Embroidery is very fun and addicting. I find it faster than cross stitch.
