Well, actually, it can cost the 5 quid for the board + the cost of an Xacto knife if you do it yourself! It was one of the later posts in that series I did, but I tell you how to cut and then mount it yourself! Its here for reference.
My last matting cost me 11 euro as I used 2 mat boards, but I could have easily gone for a less thick board and it woulda come out cheaper.
