That looks good :)
I would say colour in the white spots... It gives that texture and dimension blank space just doesn't, you know? Well that's just my thoughts :)

Keep it up!

I took some advice from the salesperson at the frame store and picked up some foam board to pin down and mount the Aida cloth after ironing. Unfortunately the fabric plus board was way too thick to re-attach the frame backing, so I'm going to have to figure out some way to keep the whole thing together :-/
Maybe I'll take it to the frame store and get them to do it properly.. since I cheaped out on everything else :)

I showed the finished piece to my 2-3/4 year old and she pointed at the letter "I" and shouted "BEE!". I had to explain that bees are insects, and that "insect" starts with "I". And that daddy had a really tough time finding a good "I" word in the Earthbound sprite sheets. Then she pointed at the monkey and shouted "M is for GIRL!".

*sigh*

If you got a small matt board around it, you could mount your project on that, slightly smaller than the frame, and use the mat board to hold it all in as that would fit.

Yes, that's basically what I did with my last project - and I already bought the frame so I'd need to get a matte custom cut, which (if I recall) costs more than one would think :-) Besides, it looks so great mounted on the white foam board! And I'm just too plain lazy to pick out the hundred-odd pins I used to secure the Aida cloth to the board. :D

btw, thanks for posting about finishing cross-stitch pieces Eliste, it's super helpful :-)

omgrobots: Thanks!
