Earthbound Alphabet stitch [COMPLETE]

After seeing the Zelda alphabet stitch on this site, I was inspired to make something similar for my 2yo daughter.
I downloaded a whole bunch of sprites from Earthbound, assembled this image in GraphicConverter and knocked down the color table to 64 colors to keep things sane:

I got a great deal on some Aida cloth that hadn't been cut properly (the clerk was livid), did some trimming and taping and got started:

Figure it won't be -too- difficult, given that I've left plenty of whitespace. My wife is skeptical about whether this is really a gift for our kid and not really for myself and to be honest, I'm not so sure either.

I messed up in a few places - for example, the "Earth" and "Bound" were supposed to have been separated by only one stitch, not three. But I'm just too impatient to count stitches properly

It's looking great so far! And those small mistakes will only be noticed by you, to me it looks perfect

UPDATE - finally finished the outlines and started in on some colours. They finally opened up a Michaels in my neighbourhood and though I like supporting the local fabric arts store, I also like paying 1/3 of the price for DMC thread.

There are some white spots in the Ness sprite that I'm tempted to leave blank. What do you guys do?

You might be able to see where I screwed up some of the colouring in the logo - forgot to swap out another colour but lucky thing they were pretty close together and I really wasn't in the mood to pick my way back. :-9
