This is gorgeous! And yes, working with metallic thread is a pain... I bought a special conditioner for metallic floss a while ago, but I've never used it so I don't know if it really works. Maybe one day I'll try it and I'll make this pattern!

I stitched this a while ago too. I just used black floss on white aida though and now I'm a little jealous of your beautiful gold!! :] It looks amazing.

Its gorgeous!! I love metallic threads on black, its a pity they are so annoying to work with. Congrats on taming the metallic! :)

Thank you all so much for your lovely feedback! It all put a big smile on my face. And yes, gold thread...my gosh, my sanity has taken severe beating! I found it so much easier to work with if I put a very tiny tight knot on the end to stop it unravelling as I stitched. And I gave it to my friend for his birthday and he loves it!
susanne wrote:That looks so good! Since I would like to make this in the future, out of curiosity, what changes did you make?
Changes I can recall off the top of my head are:
-Backstitch instead of cross stitch for the bow string and slingshot, also the bomb fuse
-Added a couple of stitches to the ball and chain to make it pointier
-Changed the hookshot quite a bit
-Changed the rupees a lot
-Changed the bombchu and torch a little

I think that's about it as far as changes go, I hope it helped!

This looks so great. I have in the past stayed away from the metallic floss because it seems to have such a bad reputation, but seeing these awesome results I have to say it seems like it would be worth it!

:clapping: Amazing! Where is the original pattern located? This will definitely go on my list of patterns to try!
