3D Transforming Optimus Prime

Post by Lord Libidan »

Well, the title says it all really, its a 3D articulated transforming Optimus Prime action figure that can change from robot to truck cab.
I used a series of different things to make it, but it all started from a sprite from an online game, so i thought i'd put it here.
If anyone really wants the pattern, i'll need to fiddle with it a bit (make some improvements), and write some instructions, but without further adue; enjoy!

WOW That is so cool. I would never even have thought of something as clever. How did you do it? Was it very hard?

How the hell did you do this? It looks Bad A and I'm not even a huge Transformers fans. All my friends are though.

Wow this looks great! How did you attach all of the pieces so that it could transform?

That's incredibly awesome. I'd love the pattern for it if you ever get the chance to make the improvements!

Did you use the plans from a papercraft model to make this? If so, it's a good idea. It might be worth looking into other papercraft models that could be converted.
