Sprite Stitch Board!

A few years back I made a wedding sampler for a friend who was fond of Zelda. Since I couldn't actually go to the wedding, I hoped a handmade gift would be adequate substitute.



Unfortunately I neglected to take a picture of the nicely finished piece all ironed and framed, so this is the closest image I have to done:


After realizing I hadn't saved ANY of my work (original files, photoshop images, etc.) I decided to rework it and share it asa pattern on my site. There's also more pictures there. Enjoy!

That is adorable! I love that you used the Zelda II sprites -- I don't see them around as much -- and I love the flowy script of "linked together."

I'm actually working on a Zelda wedding sampler too, and was considering writing "linked hearts" or "full hearts" underneath the characters. Although I decided not to do that, I was happy to see that there was someone else of like mind (although I think that the phrase you picked is the best of the three)!

How did you wind up framing it? I feel that my project should be framed when I give it as a gift, and yet frame choices are so personal that I might want to leave it up to my friend. Any thoughts?

I don't know if "LINKed Together" was meant to be punny or not, but I loved it so much that I needed to sign up and let you know. A really great and geeky (in the best way!) wedding gift! I am working on a project for some friends as a housewarming gift now and I'd be really happy if it turned out half as well as this project did.

I just wanted to say that I loved this pattern so much that I'm going to make it as well in honor of mine and my boyfriends 5 year anniversary coming up on January 2nd. I'll post pictures so you can see how it came out.

Love the play on words! 'Linked together' soo sweet! Good job on the stitching, its really neat

This design is so beautiful!! I love the border- and the bolack aida really sets it all off.
