sonic image complete

Post by Holder of Anime »

hey all :D

i took a break from my current project while i needed more colours and made this:

Image

my girlfriend had a load of glow in the dark cotton left over so i put it in there just for the sake of it: :D

Image

not a great picture but was taken on my phone :)

wanted to do a pic where it was sonic in the day and changed into the werehog at night!
this was far to hard and made my brain hurt so i just done the outline.

might do the cover art next time:

Nicely done! I need to find some glow in the dark thread - is it just like normal DMC?

There are a few DMC glow in the dark threads.
The one time I used them, I found they are a bit cumbersome.
They are not exactly like regular cotton DMC threads.
They tended to fray a lot and are hard to thread.

I love your Sonic, by the way.
Great work. =]

yeah we used the DMC glow in the dark, for sonic and hello kitty, and both times we had a nightmare trying to control the stuff!!! it's very rewarding once it's done though, although after washing it my hello kitty glow faded a lot :cray: but sonic was washed a lot and as you can see, the glow is very nice and bright :yahoo:

thanks guys and girls for all the great replys! :D

i would never use glow in the dark stuff ever again because it just knots up every five stitches!! :banghead:

it took just as long to do the outline as it did for the whole picture!

oh and the dimensions for the pic is ummmmm......... 5'x7' for sonic and its in a standerd A4 mount
