Sprite Stitch Board!

Hello! I found this site last night and spent the better part of 3-4 hours look at all the projects that had been posted! Kudos to all of you! I had just decided to start up x-stitching last week when a friend and myself were at the crafts store picking up quilting supplies. I use to stitch a lot when I was a kid, and saw the kits and said "I'm going to start up again!!" I'm a stay at home mom so I have free time now that my son is behaving himself and doing well in school. Thus the search was on of what to do, and then I stumbled upon you guys, via looking up perler bead projects..I had just gotten my son a kit of the "Fuze Beads" made by Elmers. Funny how you get to things in such a round a bout way.

So I guess I should tell you a little about myself. I'm engaged (finally!), Shane my fiance' popped the question last Thursday on our four year anniversary in a crowded restaurant, which was huge for him as he's a social phobic. I'm twenty-eight, he'll be twenty-seven next month. Our son is ten, going on eighteen, and is autistic. Hence the stay at home mommy! I'm a talker, and that's not just vocal, I'll probably "talk" a few of your ears off!! Love video games (that's a given I suppose on this forum though), RPGs are probably my favorite, but I've learned to appreciate a few FPS and others as well. I have four Labradors and we live in Missouri. Phoenix (our son) competes in special olympics he's done two years of basketball and saturday is his first track meet. Lets see...I love doing crafts and I have a habit of doing multiple projects at once....there's probably a ton of other things I could tell you... OH We're vegetarians, except for Phoenix I let him make his own decisions about eating, though I have a feeling that he will lean that way as he's gets older. Anything else...just ask!! I love making new friends!!
OH we all play Final Fantasy XI online!! Gamer family what can I say?

So my first project is to do the kit I picked up. My friend encouraged me to go with a stamped kit to get back into the groove, and then go nuts on counting. The kit is non-video game, but the dog looks so much like my oldest lab/golden mix Happy. Here's a picture of it that I found on google.



I'll start a post tomorrow night (maybe afternoon, depending on how quickly I get my housework/yard work done) to show you how I'm doing and probably ask 1001 questions!!

I already have my first two custom projects picked out after that one. The first is this...
I know it's going to be huge, but I think it will look wonderful when stitched out, framed, and on our living room wall. When I get closer to ready to start, I guess I'll post it in the pattern requests, unless somebody wants to take a stab at it now and turn it into a massive pattern for me.

What can I say? I'm a comic book geek as well!!

Then I have an anime I'm going to make for a friend, and then some Mario stuff for my son....you get the idea...yeah I have about fifty things in my head already!!



Sorry I just had to add chocobo's in this post, I love Chocobos!! I have two stuffed ones, a chirpy baby choco, and a chocobo keychain!!

mawwww i just cancelled my ffxi account this morning and now i'm all regretting it again cuz i see ffxi stuff everywhere lol..(put like 7 or so years into something it's hard to give up lol >.> but there was just nothing left to do and interest was lost... *deep breath* i'm ok... i'm ok....)

i have like a thousand projects on my plate too, and am busy working on immigrating to the US to live with my fiance (whom i live 2000 miles away from currently and see once every 4 months. yeah, that's totally as awesome as it sounds [not] >.>;)

so i'm too busy to do too much and have like a hogillion half done things all over the place here lol^^;


can't wait to see the doggy one when it's done =D

Your first custom one is awesome! although i'd love to make the pattern for it, its just so huge and there are so many colors, i wouldn't know where to start.

I know how you feel, I cancelled mine at the end of January and then started to wish I hadn't....but I got over it and you will too

I take extended breaks from the game as does our son. We get other interests and I just get busy being a mommy as well, but Shane won't let us cancel he says we always come back. I'm actually getting ready to start work on my G. Horn as he's working on his Mythic for COR!!

that's most of the reason i canceled lol, i figured 14 is out soon and i shouldn't worry about canceling. i haven't actually played ffxi in... months. over 6 months at least but kept paying for it because they don't officially leave your characters there if you cancel (like wow and eq do)

i'm slowly gettin over it, lol ;P i left that char with fishing at 99.7 and with one of the ebisu fishing rod items.. and i prolly shoulda finished that so i could say i finished it lol... but i just couldn't will myself to fish anymore lol >.>; other than that i felt like i had finished the game (i dun think i can say i won it tho lol ;P)

but pretty much it's the fishing thing that's making me feel guilty for canceling ;P anyone who's ever fished in that game should know the kind of work that is put into getting it up that high ;P

canceled with the lu shangs still in my inventory too ;P last time i let someone 'take care' of my character when i went on a break, i came back and he had sold it within like the first day i was gone, lol >.>

Of course!

I took a loooooooong break from FFXI when I fell pregnant and broke up with my boyfriend. After my daughter was born, my best friends convinced me to go back, change server and play again but I couldn't really get back into it. One friend quit FFXI to play Aion (then quit that too) and the other eventually quit FFXI as well so that all three of us could play Star Trek Online ^^ So we're all gonna be on FFXIV together hopefully - and the ex may be there too but meh to him

I spent 4 years playing ffxi (this is the 5th but I haven't played in months...) I am debating on cancelling my account since I haven't played in so long and it would save money but I keep thinking I might start playing again and its hard to bring myself to do it since I put so much time into my character =/...
