Thanks for the reinforcements!
I've not been able to work on it much, and the spare time I had today was dedicated to determining the floss colors of my next project (Sonic, in theory). I'm going to be going to Grafenwöhr tomorrow, which I hear has a fantastic arts & crafts shop... and as a result, I should come home with a whole lot more floss.
In addition, the flights are back up as of today, so those I ordered online should be getting through again. Yay!
Thanks again for the encouragement, and I hope to have something to post by tomorrow evening.

Alrighty, an update! I finally got new thread. Unfortunately I went against my gut instincts, and now the background looks like it might be a bit darker than I'd like. Oh well...

Last night's update.
Edit: Wow, natural sunlight makes it look so different compared to the living room light!

Wow that seems crazy difficult.
You're doing a really good job! And SUPPPER fast. All that in one week? Would've taken me months D:

I've run into a number of issues. First off, I sewed a whole row of orange in the wrong spot. So I had to snip to undo. Well, careless me snipped one over, which required me to sew in with some of the darker orange. I hadn't decided on a color for it, and I'd tried one that two programs had matched (920 - and in theory looked right). It was WAY too red. Well, I couldn't find anything I already had, so I went with 918. More brown, but still too dark and too red.
So the background is too gold (instead of more greenish), and the dark part of the bricks is VERY dark. Makes me sad, but I figure... no one will know as long as I don't put the original picture next to it. Hopefully. I think 400 would have been a better option than 918 (looks WAY darker in the picture, but it's still really dark), but I wasn't about to go driving 45 min one-way just to see. Besides, the lady at the craft store was way too helpful; I ended up with two of the same color (even after I caught two other extras!) because she was so gung-ho on helping me find my colors. I tried explaining it was from a video game, not from a pattern, so I wasn't exactly sure on the colors. She does seem to be the type who definitely enjoyed the free life back in the 60s...

I am one of those few who look at a WIP and go 'Wow that looks awesome' regardless of how much you think the colors are off a smidge =D
looks awesome!

Thanks. I'm really trying not to be a perfectionist about the coloring... I think that I did so well with MM's blues, the light orange, and the green angley things in the background that I expected everything to be just as I wanted. But I think Mega Man's the most important bit, and he looks awesome (to me), so thanks for the encouragement!
