Sprite Stitch Board!

I wanted to make a gift for a friend of mine, so I decided to give cross stitching a try. Little did I realize how long it takes! It's not perfect, and I definitely learned a lot along the way (better techniques, etc.), but I'm happy with the result. The final product took about 5 weeks to complete, and the actual stitching measures about 7"x9.5" in an 11"x14" frame. Thanks! I had originally told my friend it would probably take a week or two to finish, obviously not knowing just how labor-intensive cross stitching is. That sort of helped motivate me to work quickly as I watched my deadline fall further and further behind me :-p In the future I'll give myself a much more reasonable time frame.

That was an ambitious first project and it's so well done! I wish I was that good when I first learned to cross-stitch and my granma was yelling at me in old neapolitan dialect for my messy job!

Very Nice. Heh, My first try was a little Tetris heart.. Hardly a challenge compared to this. Good Job though, Im sure your friend will be very very happy.
