Summer break is officially here and it's time to get back to what's really important; cross-stitching. Here is my recent Shovel Knight project:
It feels good to be back in the groove.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of this hobby is matching the project to the frame. My wife found this pair for cheap and the project inspiration was all too obvious:

Awesome Duck Hunt frames and stitches. I love picking up unusual frames from charity shops, always have more character to them

This was my first attempt with plastic canvas (white, 14 ct, Darice brand). It worked fairly well, but required some meticulous x-acto knife-work. I decided to make some FFVI magnets, but this picture of the washing process best represents the project as a whole. I've titled it Seafood Soup:
