Yukishiro's Projects - Stained glass Zelda project :)

Post by Yukishiro »

Hi hi ^_^ I recently decided to get back into cross stitching after about a 10 year hiatus with an overly ambitious colorful project, which turned out to be the Zelda Helmeroc King pattern that was made by Servotron a few years back.
I'm having a ton of fun with it though and am looking forward to finishing it and moving forward to some other fun designs =D
Here is my progress so far at about 3ish weeks XD

Wow - you're making really good progress! This is a very ambitious project (and one I'd love to attempt myself, if only I had the time) so I'll be keen to see future updates :)
Current projects: 'Heroes' sketch, experiments with surface embroidery.

Thanks very much =) The progress is moving along pretty well, mostly since I work from home with lots of down time for stitching on the side. I'll definitely keep posting updates since I'm trying to take a weekly picture so I can tell how long it takes me to go from beginning to end XD

And the finished size is about 9" x 13" (on 18 count fabric) ^_^

Progress through week 4 =D I didn't get as much work done on it as I would have liked, but things are starting to shape up. (still need to go back and fill in some of the more fiddly bits in the waves, triforce etc though) XD

And work through week 7 XD Starting to move into the other area of water and going back to get fiddly bits as I feel up to them @_@ Oy, I had a hard time getting motivated for those white on white waves, so impossible to see where I should be putting stitches :P
