I saw a picture of pokemon earring someone was selling on etsy and decided they looked quite simple to make.
As one of my sisters is into squirtle I decided to make her squirtle earrings with a matching necklace for Christmas.
Here is a picture of them finished:

The earrings are double sided so either way they are put in its the same image., and the necklace has a felt back.

Once it's finished she will have a squirtle cushion for Christmas aswell.
I decided to post these as I know she doesn't come on here, unlike my other sis.

Edit: I'll try get on a laptop after work and make the images smaller.

Edit *5th jan*: resized imagine of squirtle earrings and necklace.

On the earrings/necklace how do you finish them/do the edges?

Have been wanting to make some minecraft necklaces for a couple friends but I am not sure about the process beyond the actual cross stitching
That which does not kill me shall regret ever having tried.

I cut the plastic one hole away from the stitches themselves. So it gave a little plastic boarder.

Where they are double sided I used the putter colour to back stitch it. So on umbreon I used black. I tucked the end of the thread between the two sides, under the stitches, then attached the two sides together. I stitched along the outer side of the edge cross, same as normal back stitch.

There is a topic that gives tips on working with plastic canvas,
here's the link:

Hope that helps :D

Yes this all helps a lot :) Actually just realizing they are on plastic canvas, not aida cloth helps. I have not been stitching long and have never used plastic, will give it a try for some necklaces/earrings

Thanks, although I think it's more family competition than love. :D

My youngest sister (who is stitching the 2nd gen) decided to give the fabric and pattern of the 4th gen to my other sis for Christmas. So she had no choice in the matter of getting involved with the pokemon. Good thing she likes pokemon.

I have to make another crochet umbreon though. My sis has pinched the one I made.
